Nicole grew up in Soweto and in Katlehong, Gauteng. She studied Education at the University of the Witwatersrand and worked at Halfway House Primary School in Midrand, Gauteng. After many years of teaching, Nicole left the profession to become involved in children’s ministry full time. She then joined Kids R Special, an NPO where she presented Personal Safety Programmes in pre- and primary schools around Gauteng and in Secunda.
Nicole joined Petra Institute in 2022, and became involved in training and facilitation. At the beginning of 2024 she joined Petra Institute's Ethical Fundraising Team. Her heart's desire is to see everybody who is involved in the lives of children become equipped in their work with children. However, the greatest challenge is that most children’s workers do not earn much and some are bread winners in their homes. They cannot afford training in order to grow in their fields, and therefore, need to be funded.
When she’s not working, Nicole enjoys spending time with family and friends, as well as playing tennis.
