André Brink

In 2024, André celebrates 26 years of reaching out to children and teaching adults to do the same. He found his calling in 1998 when he was a youth worker at a local church. Eager to learn more about ministry, he attended training in Children’s Ministry. He realised the importance of teaching the Gospel message to children and giving children an opportunity to respond to that message. André started to experience how eager children are to learn about God and his Word. He had the privilege to help many children to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as their Saviour.

André joined Petra Institute in 2021 as a Training Facilitator. Always eager to learn, he discovered the value of building relationships in his outreach to the children. Petra Institute provided the tools to effectively achieve this.

André’s focus is to reach the children in Graaff Reinet (Eastern Cape). He currently ministers in 5 different schools, reaching children from the age of 3 up to 13 years.

One of the preschool teachers commented that it is the children’s highlight of the week when Uncle André comes to visit them and to teach them from the Word of God.

In his free time, André enjoys doing woodwork, as well as reading books and listening to audio books.
