The year 2020 will be remembered for the change it has brought to every level of society, no matter what country or what status in society. We are deeply aware of many of our supporters who are suffering in many ways this year: drought, disease, loved ones dying, a weak economy, businesses hit very hard by the Covid-19 pandemic. In our contact with supporters, we hear the need, suffering and hurt. We wish we could sit down with everyone, listen, help, and encourage. However, even though we may not be there, we pray that the Lord will meet, comfort, strengthen, and deliver each one in a unique way. On the other hand, we sometimes also hear encouraging news, such as some farmers who have received good rains, and we trust with them for a good harvest.Sometimes the Lord does not necessarily bring relief, but He works through the hardships with us, like one supporter who contributed, even though he could not do business due to the restrictions. He and his family felt that they were still so blessed to be redeemed that, despite substantial shortages, they felt compelled to contribute out of gratitude to the work of the Institute. May the Lord bless them for this! Many other supporters now help to address the needs in their own communities. We also have a great appreciation for this, and we bless you with that too. Thank you to everyone who continues to support us through prayers and financial contributions - we appreciate you. You have enabled us to continue training leaders in South Africa, Tanzania, the Democratic Republic the Congo and Mongolia, despite the pandemic.Apart from the impact that Covid-19 had on the Petra Institute's way of working, many other changes also took place. We are happy to share this with you.
